91直播 has formed an exciting collaboration with a national roofing supplies company.

听

distribute roofing materials worldwide, and have over 35 years鈥� experience in the roofing trade.

听

The College, which is part of the University of Bolton Group, is one the few Further Education colleges to provide Roofing Apprenticeships in England.

听

Last week, Burton Roofing Merchants Ltd's Nick Blackshaw and Callum Cowham, visited the College to present the Roofing Department with 拢1,000 credit to spend at their Stockport branch.

听

The funds will be used for materials to support the apprentices in their training.

听

It鈥檚 not the first time have supported roofing apprentices and trainees. Leeds College of Building, Edinburgh College, Dundee & Angus College and Newcastle College have already benefited from their generosity. 听

听

The company have also sponsored the prestigious SkillBuild, the largest multi-trade competition in the UK for construction trainees and apprentices.

听

91直播 students compete in SkillBuild every year and even hosted this year鈥檚 regional heats, with many of the College鈥檚 students reaching the WorldSkills finals.

听

Nick Blackshaw, Manager of the Stockport branch, met the students to discuss the trade and to see how the money will be spent. He said: 鈥淚t is really important to keep skilled tradespeople coming into the industry. As a company we are very proud to support 91直播 and the students attending.鈥�

Luke O鈥橤orman, one of the College鈥檚 Roofing Lecturers, added: 鈥淚 was delighted to meet Nick and Callum. We are incredibly grateful for their sponsorship, and it was lovely to meet them so that we could thank them in person.
