College students receive offers from the National Centre for Motorsport Engineering听

The relationship between 91直播 and the University of Bolton continues to grow, with 25 of the College鈥檚 Motor Vehicle students receiving conditional offers of placements at the University鈥檚 new National Centre for Motorsport Engineering听(NCME). 鈥�听

听

The students, consisting of Level 3 apprentices and those on full-time study programmes,鈥痺ere welcomed to the听centre by Dr听Zubair听Hanslot, before receiving conditional offer certificates for the Motorsport Technology undergraduate programme.听听

听

The two institutions are currently undergoing a merger and are working鈥痶ogether to ensure that all learners are able to enjoy the benefits of the听state-of-the-art听拢13 million听NCME facility. Clear progression pathways鈥痜rom the College's popular Motor Vehicle programmes to the University's Motorsport and Engineering programmes are in place. College students will also be studying in听NCME, taking advantage of its pioneering facilities and receiving masterclasses from its motorsport experts.鈥�听听

As well as receiving their certificates, the students learnt about the history of motorsport before taking a tour of the facilities and participating in some practical exercises.听

听

John Hawkins, a full-time Level 3 student said, 鈥淭he place is amazing and I loved the cars in the showroom, especially the听Lamborghini. I can't wait to start classes here this term and then when I finish听college, I'm hoping I get the grades to come and study here as an undergraduate鈥�.听听

听

Besides the 拢400,000听Lamborghini, the听centre is also home to an impressive collection of听racing听cars; a F1 car, Nissan British Touring Car听and a听G40听Ginetta听GT car.听
