Launch event for Adult & Family Learning at Farnworth Library

Adult & Family Learning has come to Farnworth Library!

Members of the public visited the library on Saturday 4th December for a launch event, after听work taking place at the historic Carnegie library was completed; the library听now includes a new adult community classroom, developed in partnership with 91直播.

For the launch event, attendees enjoyed free cakes and refreshments, free craft packs, and information stalls from Job Centre Plus, Bolton at Home, Bolton's ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Provision Navigator, and more.听

Bolton Council鈥檚 Executive Cabinet Member with responsibility for Libraries, Councillor Hilary Fairclough, said: 鈥淲e are excited about our new partnership with 91直播 in Farnworth.

"Having this dedicated adult community classroom provides us with a unique opportunity and will allow local people to tap into a range of different courses close to where they live and work.鈥�

Bill Webster, Principal of 91直播, said: 鈥淲e already offer a broad range of courses at the College鈥檚 Community Learning Centre in New Bury, and I鈥檓 delighted that this partnership with the Council鈥檚 Library & Museum Service will allow us to expand our offer.
