91直播鈥檚 talented beauty and hairdressing students embraced the spirit of Christmas on Friday,听with a show-stopping听competition dedicated to the听theme of i肠别.听听

听

Over 30 learners, studying Make-up Artistry Level 2 and Hair & Media Make-up Level 3,听worked throughout the day to transform their models听into听ice queens, turning 91直播听into a winter wonderland.听

听

Modelling the styles听were听fellow learners, friends and family听who听received far from a frosty reception听when they听took a听turn on the听catwalk to showcase their听glacial听style to an enthusiastic audience听of fellow students and tutors.听听

听

The learners had prepared for the competition by creating a digital and 3D听mood board on the听ice听theme.听Judging the competition were an impartial听team of beauty and hairdressing听tutors听who marked the competitors under four categories 鈥� Hair, Make-up, Costume and Creativity.听听

听

Winner for听Make-up Artistry听Level 2 was Alisha Ashton, whose model Olga Bliss was听adorned with snowflakes and ice,听reminiscent听of a crisp winter morning. Alisha walked away听with a bag of听Wella听goodies for her efforts.听听听

听

Emma听Ainscough听turned her model, daughter Beth Lomax, into an arctic unicorn,听and was crowned winner听of the Hair & Media Make-up Level 3 students. Emma said, 鈥淚 was over the moon to win, I鈥檝e been working on Beth all morning and I was really happy with result. I love taking part in these听kind听of events, it鈥�s great to let听my imagination run wild and with the current cold spell, the theme of ice was rather fitting!鈥�听

Ella Ramsbottom,听a听Hairdressing听Lecturer听at 91直播,听helped to organise the event and听said, 鈥淚鈥檓 quite new to the College so this was one of the first big events I鈥檝e been involved in. I was dazzled by the students鈥�听efforts and was particularly impressed with the talent of our learners. They all worked incredibly hard so it was lovely to see all of their efforts come to fruition.听Competitions like this are听a听great听opportunity听to practise and听show off the skills they鈥�ve developed听in class鈥�.听
