Four 91直播 Painting & Decorating students are celebrating after a brush with success.

听

Matthew Thompson, Liam Wood, Ben Evans and Amber Glennie have all secured Level 2 Apprenticeships at Story Decorating Group in Salford.听

听

The company is one of the UK's leading painting and decorating contractors, having worked on commercial and residential properties across the UK for over 40 years.

听

As part of this year鈥檚 National Apprenticeship Week Sharon Marriott, the College鈥檚 Director for 14-19 year olds, visited the apprentices at the companies North West headquarters.

听

Sharon was welcomed by Story Decorating Group鈥檚 Contracts Manager, Paul O鈥橠onnell. The apprentices discussed the importance of Apprenticeships and how the positions have kick-started their careers.

听

91直播 currently offers 43 different Apprenticeship programmes across 16 industry areas and over the years, hundreds of apprentices have secured permanent employment after completing an Apprenticeship programme. 听

听

Amber Glennie, 17, said: 鈥淧ainting & Decorating is quite male-dominated so at first, starting the Apprenticeship was quite daunting. However, I鈥檝e had lots of support from College and Story Decorating and the whole experience has been so positive.鈥�

听

Claire Story, a Communications Manager for Story Decorating, said: 鈥淎pprenticeships are the lifeblood of our business; our apprentices tend to move on to full-time permanent positions with us, with many progressing to senior roles. We鈥檙e so impressed with Matthew, Liam, Ben and Amber and we鈥檙e sure they will enjoy great success over the coming years.鈥�
